Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween 2009!!

Sara, Staci and I had a blast getting all done up gross for Halloween last night! It was more fun getting ready then actually going out for me! The bars were packed and we got to see lots of funny and clever costumes. It makes me excited for next year cause I wanna start early and get a great costume together! I hope everyone else got lots of treats and very few tricks!

Snow in the UP

Well now I know winter is right around the corner. I woke up bright and early today. I guess it wasn't bright, the sun wasn't even up yet. Nonetheless I headed out for class at 7:30 this morning to find a nice layer of wet snow on my windshield. Not too thrilled about it!! It made me realize I need to break out my winter gear here pretty quick!

Went home for the weekend! It was the first time I've been home since I got up here. It was a nice break for me and Sara both. Not that classes are that hard it's just a break up of the same thing everyday. Still no word on a job yet, it's starting to stress me out alittle bit now. I'm still holding on to good Faith that something will turn up real soon.

This up coming weekend is my birthday! So excited to have lots of new friends to share it with. Not a lot of huge plans yet but after this week of exams and what not I'll be ready to have some fun with everyone!

Exam 1 of 3 down already this morning. Hopefully I'll be able to take my Sociology exam @ 10am and only have one more to study for for the rest of the week! As much as the weather is crappy outside I'm still happy and lucky to be alive and going to college. It will all be worth it once i get a degree and can start working at a hospital! Preferably some place warm! :)

Labor Day weekend

Well the nice little break from school is now over and today was the start of a new week. I got my butt up and went to class at 8am! It was a good way to start the day, in between classes I went to the library and studied for an hour then walked back over to Jamrich ( the building most of my classes are in). Sociology and Environmental Science went by quickly and i was happy to get home.

I stopped by the Crayon Club today to grab a application only to find out I need a physical and a TB shot to get a job there and those are two things I can't afford to get. So that is out of the question. So still praying I get a call from the hospital or Biolife sometime this week.

This weekend Sara's and I's friend Kyle came up. It was alot of fun showing him around Marquette. We went out to Black Rocks to watch people cliff jump, went out to forestville to off road and cliff jump at Dead River, went to the Yooper tourist trap and got some good food throughout the weekend also. It was a busy and tiring weekend but a lot of fun none the less.

Sunday night I went out with a few friends to a couple local bars for a drink and enjoyed some Jazz music downtown! There was a Jazz festival going on in lower harbor all weekend but it costs 25 to get in so we skipped it. So it was nice to catch some of the Jazz bands at the Upfront!

I guess this is all for now! 7am came real early and it's time for a nap.

It's been a long day at it's only 8pm. The day started early at 8:15 when I heard Ky Ky come in to do his laundry. I got up and visited with him for a bit then got around and went to class. After class I came home at some lunch and had to take a few tests at Michigan Works. They went pretty well too in case you were wondering :) I also put in a application at Biolife cause I heard they were also hiring. So fingers crossed I'll find something at either the hospital or Biolife soon!

Other then work related stuff I have a test tomorrow in Sociology. Kyle Chapman will be here tomorrow night too! We are excited to have company come up so we can show them around the town and campus. Well that's really all I got for today! I'm looking forward to a four day weekend. The weather is suppose to be really nice all weekend too! Hooray!

Every morning I wake up wondering whats the day will hold and today was no different. I got up and jumped into the shower and got myself around for class. Sociology was boring like always and time seemed to drag on. But I also had my first Obtaining a Blood Sample Lab today and was shocked to learn that we would be drawing each others blood in the near future!! I'm a little nervous about it because I'm not the bravest of people when it comes to procedures. Like tomorrow I have to get a shot for Measles, I know it wont take more than a few seconds and it will be over with and i know as soon as it's over i'll feel stupid for worrying about it. It's the nature of the beast for me.

On Wed. I'm going to Michigan Works to take a few clerical tests because I applied at the hospital. So im very excited to see what comes of that in the next few weeks. The weather was amazing today and I was in class most of the day! So i hope tomorrow the weather is just as nice and I can enjoy it a little more.
