Every morning I wake up wondering whats the day will hold and today was no different. I got up and jumped into the shower and got myself around for class. Sociology was boring like always and time seemed to drag on. But I also had my first Obtaining a Blood Sample Lab today and was shocked to learn that we would be drawing each others blood in the near future!! I'm a little nervous about it because I'm not the bravest of people when it comes to procedures. Like tomorrow I have to get a shot for Measles, I know it wont take more than a few seconds and it will be over with and i know as soon as it's over i'll feel stupid for worrying about it. It's the nature of the beast for me.

On Wed. I'm going to Michigan Works to take a few clerical tests because I applied at the hospital. So im very excited to see what comes of that in the next few weeks. The weather was amazing today and I was in class most of the day! So i hope tomorrow the weather is just as nice and I can enjoy it a little more.

I hope you all are enjoying the journal of my life. Remember to love yourself and each other!

A Golden Afternoon

I have officially been in Marquette for 2 weeks now. It's a good feeling to finally feel like you belong somewhere. I managed to sleep til 11 today and i didnt even go to bed that late last night! I guess i just needed to catch up on some sleep. Sara, our friend Chris and i all went hiking this afternoon up Sugarloaf Mountain. It was a pretty easy hike compared to the one we did last time i was up here. We took lots of pictures at the top and just enjoyed God's scenery. It's so amazing what God has provided us with and it even more amazing when you stop and take the time to enjoy it.

We later went to the library to get some quiet time to get some homework done and get ahead start on this week of classes. We really want to make it a habit of going at least once a week. I have a feeling i will spend sometime there alot this semester. I have a 2 hour break in between classes in the afternoon and i think once it snows i wont want to drive home just to turn around and drive back.

The two of us are addicted to McDonalds Coke for some reason so after studying we stopped and grabbed one and came home to type up a few assignments and make some dinner. Ozzy is the cook thats for sure, but i helped cut up stuff for tacos. :) we watched some Friends and called it a night.. i guess you cant ask for anything better on a Sunday in Marquette.

Thursday Sara and I went for a hike around Presque Isle and I found my new favorite place!

First week of classes down

Well I've been here in Marquette for 2 weeks now. I finally am starting to feel like I'm settled in.
First week of classes was interesting to say the least. After coming from a small community college life at a university is WAY different. Classes are bigger, shorter in time and finding a place to park is impossible. But I'm happy with it. I finally feel like im going somewhere with my life and school.

I applied at the hospital today. Nothing big just clerical work, so i have to go to Michigan works on Wed and take a few tests to be able to be considered for any positions. So i really hope I can get a job there soon!

Well as for now that's all im going to write! I'll do my best to keep updating this for family and friends! Love to all!
